At Foundations of Sapphires, we believe that spiritual growth should not only be nurtured it should be celebrated. That’s why each year, we honor a child who has exemplified the fruit of the Spirit in their daily life through our Sapphire Yearly Reward.
This special recognition takes place at the end of each school program year at Dumfries Primary where we work closely with children through discipleship and mentorship. The award is given to the student who consistently lives out the virtues found in Galatians 5:22โ23:Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
๐ Why the Sapphire Yearly Reward Matters
In a world where loudness, popularity, and performance often take the spotlight, this award shines a light on character, quiet obedience, and inner transformation. It serves as both:
Affirmation for the recipient: A clear, joyful acknowledgment that their Christ-like growth is seen and celebrated;
And Motivation for others, encouraging all students to pursue lives rooted in godly values.
By celebrating one, we inspire many. The Sapphire Award creates a culture of encouragement where children learn that God sees their growth, even when the world overlooks it. It opens hearts to understand that the fruit of the Spirit is not just a lesson โ itโs a lifestyle worth living.
๐ What the Award Includes
The Sapphire Yearly Reward is more than a title it’s a celebration of covenant living:
A monetary gift โ to bless and invest in the childโs journey
A symbolic token โ representing the enduring value of living a life that reflects the heart of KING JESUS
ย
This gesture reminds each awardee that godly character is priceless, and that their obedience to God’s Word is both seen by heaven and honored on earth.
