“What the enemy meant for evil, God used for good—to bring about this present result.” – Genesis 50:20 (paraphrased)
Every ministry has a beginning. Not just in mission statements or plans—but in pain, purpose, and personal encounters with God. At Foundations of Sapphires, our story is no different. What you see today—a vibrant ministry dedicated to guiding children and youth into a deeper walk with KING JESUS—was born out of one woman’s personal journey from spiritual struggle to divine strength.
This is the story of our founder. It’s a testimony of how God transforms brokenness into beauty and turns silent battles into sacred callings.
A Childhood Longing for More
Like many others, our founder grew up with a longing for God. There were moments—divine moments—that could have ushered her into a covenant relationship with Jesus much earlier. Encounters with God during childhood were real, powerful, and unforgettable. But without consistent spiritual guidance or mentorship, those seeds of faith struggled to take root.
“I didn’t have anyone to explain what I was experiencing spiritually,” she shares. “There were times when I cried out to God, but I didn’t have a community or discipleship to help me grow in Him.”
The result? A delayed journey into purpose. A spiritual hunger that often went unfulfilled. And a sense of navigating the storms of youth alone, without an anchor.
The Breaking That Birthed the Burden
But God wastes nothing—not even our wandering.
Through years of personal trials, emotional challenges, and spiritual searching, God was doing a hidden work. He was cultivating empathy. He was building resilience. And He was preparing a heart that would one day burn to see other young people spared from the same struggle.
“I realized that what I lacked growing up—consistent mentorship, biblical accountability, and a strong faith-based community—wasn’t just my story. It was the story of many children around me. And God placed a burden on my heart to change that.”
What the enemy tried to use to isolate and discourage her, God used to stir a vision—a vision to bridge the generational gap in spiritual growth and build a foundation for the next generation.
The Birth of Foundations of Sapphires
In obedience to God’s call, Foundations of Sapphires was born.
The mission was clear: to nurture God-centered relationships in children and youths and to provide them with the spiritual, emotional, and practical support they need to thrive. No child should have to figure out their faith journey alone. No youth should be left without direction, identity, or community.
What began as a personal passion has grown into a platform for discipleship, prayer retreats, purity movements, and spiritual mentorship—impacting young lives across communities.
Why It Matters Today
In a time when children are more distracted than ever—and the world’s voice is louder than God’s truth—Foundations of Sapphires stands as a spiritual lighthouse.
We are here to:
-
Help kids discover KING JESUS for themselves.
-
Build safe spaces for growth and mentorship.
-
Celebrate spiritual maturity with programs like the Sapphire Award.
-
Empower girls to live holy through our Power in Purity group.
-
Equip all youth with the tools to walk confidently in their calling.
And at the heart of it all is a founder who knows the pain of walking alone—and the joy of finally walking with God.
“If just one child meets God earlier than I did… If one girl finds strength in purity… If one boy learns to pray with confidence… Then everything I went through was worth it.”
A Personal Invitation
The founder’s story is not just a testimony—it’s an invitation. An invitation to parents, mentors, churches, and communities to invest in what truly matters: the spiritual future of our children.
We cannot go back and rewrite our past. But we can partner with God to rewrite the stories of those coming after us.
